Alright, as all of my early watchers may know, I'm a HUGE Sonic fan, and I have been since I first played Sonic Heroes back when I was about 7 years old. That makes me a fan of the franchise for about 10 years, and as a result, I feel as though I am free to talk about how I see Sonic NOW.

To begin, I have had a huge change in preference in how characters are portrayed, so as a result, my love of the SonAmy shipping has dwindled in favor of Sonaze... though this does NOT mean I gave up on SonAmy or that I hate it or something... It just means it isn't my preference anymore. I find pairings like Sonaze, Tairine, Silvikal, Knuxade, and a few others more appealing due to the fact they have less fans then the more "popular" pairings. SonAmy is used so much that it's become incredibly stale to me... but again, i don't dislike it, I just like Sonaze more... there is just MORE CHEMISTRY there in my eyes. Yeah, Amy and Sonic have been the "canon couple" since Sonic CD, yet How much has their relationship changed in the past decade and a half... not much. Amy is just a clingy girl who can't think beyond Sonic half the time, doing half the crap she does to be noticed by him, and it makes her a weak character overall. She hasn't shown many signs of improvement since Adventure 2, and that was the last time she really did something that legitimately mattered (Yes, I am aware how she protects Sonic from Silver in Sonic 06, but that game erased itself from existence, therefore it never happened), which further justifies my change in who I think Sonic should get with. Though with that in mind, I still very much HATE Shadamy and Silvamy... they make NO sense at all!!

Then there is Cream... aka, the character that serves little purpose. I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for saying that, but hear me out before you come at me with pitchforks and torches. Cream's character was essentially made for Amy t have a "Tails Figure" in her life, a sidekick character. And It worked... kinda. The personality they gave Cream is TOO innocent for it's own good. I don't mind it, since she is a 6 year old girl, but still. She could have more CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT then she gets. The only times she does ANYTHING worth note is in the Advanced series, Rush, and that's it. She's cute,  but when you compare her to a character like Marine for example, you can see a lot of difference. Marine is full of energy, is reckless, but learns as Rush Adventure went on. All it took was being called a pest by Blaze, and she started realizing that her attitude bothered people and that she should see an Adventure as more then a game... and it's a shame she's only used once, while Cream is ALWAYS used!! Case in point, I don't HATE Cream, I just think her purpose is nonexistent and that she should be shelved in favor of stronger characters.

Now, there are a TON of characters in the Sonic Universe, right? So why does Sega keep making new ones? What happened to characters like Mighty the Armadillo or Ray the Flying Squirrel? Hell, I just want Mighty to make his HD debut in a new Sonic game... same goes for all the underused characters that weren't used as plot devices... BRING THEM BACK!!!

The people who say that Sonic games should only have Sonic as the playable character seriously need to go die in a hole. I am DEAD serious. With a whole plethora of characters, can't we play as anybody but the namesake of the series? I mean, yeah, it's fun to run fast and stuff, but I want to do more then just play as one character. Not to mention as of recently the games are ridiculously short due to Sega being lazy about designing levels and writing stories... Throw in a second playable character. One of the reasons I love Adventure 2 so much was because you had 6 characters that had unique personalities and goals, while sharing core mechanics with another character. I could do without the emerald hunting or the shooting stages... or the racing and fishing stages... those can die. But If they were to give us a game where each character has the same core mechanics with different abilities, it would be more fun then boosting the hell out of a level with the same character every single time!! Oh, and those 2D sections need to stay AWAY from the 3D games... It's a lame gimmick to please the stupid biased critics and whinny fanbrats out there...

As for everything, I'm still writing Sonic Underground ReMIX, and I'm not going to change that story at all... but to keep the project more interesting, I am going to be doing another series, a Sonaze series, at the same time... maybe a few Oneshots here and there... gotta keep things interesting right? I am currently working on Chapter 1 of ReMIX... so be patient... that's all.
